Damages

Lawson Glod Mahoney
You are entitled to recover damages for the following:

• Pain and Suffering and Loss of Enjoyment of Life
This is determined by the injury you suffered and the
effect it has and will have on your life. The maximum
award has been set by the Supreme Court of Canada
  at $326,000.00.

• Loss of Income
Your past and future loss of income or loss of
opportunity to earn an income is recoverable. You are
entitled to immediate payments from your own
insurer (Section B benefits) for a portion of your loss.
We will assist you in recovering these payments.

• Loss of Housekeeping Capacity
If you are unable to complete your normal house-
  keeping chores you are entitled to compensation;
even if you have not paid for in-home assistance.

• Cost of Care
In most cases your medical expenses are covered
by your own insurer. Any medical expenses not
covered by your insurer can be claimed against the
at-fault party. This includes an award for future
expenses. We have access to physical and
  occupational therapists, vocational rehabilitation
experts and economists to obtain the reports and
opinions to document and collect these costs.
